    Good morning,
My Name is Steve and I am new to your forum, I come hear to seek knowledge on Glass boats. I recently sold my 1900 Pro V of 9yrs and I’m making the switch to a 20-21′ Glass boat, I really like the looks of the Skeeter as a friend of mine pointed me in this direction.
I’ve found several 05-06 Zx2050’s and from what I’ve been able to research (I’ve been out of the boat market for 9yrs now) they are solid units,
    Question:
A: Can Snap-in Carpet be installed in one of these units?
B: What is the expected life span of one of these boats, a Tournament boat will last xxxx yrs?
C: What kind of questions should I be asking while examining a used Glass boat?

Any help with these questions would be much Appreciated,
    Thanks in advance.

    A) its possible but not real feasiable. You will have to get all the fiberglass on the floor re-finished, and also have to get the carpet and make to fit. Is it possible yes but it will come with a large expense.

    B) Depending on what you mean by lifespan, the boat it self will last a very long time. Over time you will notice some wear on seats, carpet, and the like.

    C) As with any boat the biggest thing to ask about is the motor. Hours, service and such. otherwise just look the boat over well and make sure everything works.

Good luck on your search and let me know if you have any other questions!!!

I had an 06′ with the 300 hpdi. When I sold it to my buddy it had 250 trouble free hours on it. He is now on his second year and no problems. My dad also had an 05′ with 250hpdi and I dont know the hours but never once was it in the shop and my uncle has owned it now for 2 years

Get the motor scanned and ask for service records. Compare it to what Yamaha or the dealer recommends. Always run Yamaha 2-M oil, Ring Free and Stabil.

Like cory said, have a dealer scan the motor and go over it with you.
I havent heard of any known issues with that motor at all.

Get the motor checked out, and look over everything good and make a decision from there!!
