Skeeter engineers are hard at work on this model and at the MPLS boat show we were told they’re making good progress. No hard and fast release date has been offered up at this time. Suffice it to say, I’m more than a little antsy to see this model become a reality so as soon as anything is put out as a definite regarding timing we’ll be sure to share that here.

Crazy. I was thinking the same thing at some point today.
FDR
No surprise. This weather is making people all twitchy thinking about getting back in the boats again.

Just a little bit
February 29, 2012 at 7:28 pm #1044601a “reliable source” told me they should have the MX20xx ready to go this summer. i imagine that would give it some impact time prior to the big sales push next winter?
as far as tillers go, i feel that you get much better performance out of a boat designed to be a tiller from the hull up, rather than converting a wheel boat. so i’d rather not have a tiller interior on an MX console hull.
add the extended keel design to the current WX2000T (which I assume they’re going to do anyway), make a couple tweaks to the interior such as longer rod lockers and some kind of rear deck, and get a Yamaha-ready power steering system for big motors and you’ve got the perfect MX tiller boat!
Dave M??? how about it???March 1, 2012 at 1:36 am #1044752Quote:

The MX hulls were specifically designed to eventually serve as a tiller. Basically you have a wheel boat on a tiller hull and not the other way around.

well that’s just…outstanding!
it also points to the MX1825’s reputation for planing quickly and staying on plane easily with the F150: plenty of stern lift. maybe a 20′ tiller model MX will show up in time for me to upgrade in a few years.and hopefully they’ll get power steering back along with it…you know, because us big tiller guys represent such a huge market segment.

Exactly!
Dear Skeeter,
After you get that 20′ MX hull completed, please put a 2000T top cap on it, mount a 150 on the back, and ship it to Skeeter Boat Center. I will be there to pick it up.
mark-o.Posts: 33March 1, 2012 at 11:53 pm #1045176If you could get Skeeter to re-rate the WX200T for a 150, I know a dealer that could put the new Merc 150 fourstroke on the back with the Merc Big Tiller steering. I’ve been inquiring to Steve about this, but Yamaha doesn’t seem to like the idea. I figure if enough guys call Skeeter, they might change the rating.
On another note, I also heard the MX20?? should be out sometime around dealer meeting time. Time will tell I guess.

Have to wait till summer, bummer, maybe will have take a trip to Kilgore TX, and get a sneek peek! Its only a 4 1/2 hour trip.March 31, 2012 at 2:51 pm #1054484Did the new MX 20 make it to the sport show? Any word about when? Have not heard, so I guess Skeeter does not have it ready yet?

No MX2025 at the show but do expect to see that new model as a 2013 which means we should see it some time this summer.
June 5, 2012 at 12:32 pm #1073713I have not heard any specifics but all things are leading up to possiably be towards the end of this summer. If any more details are released I will be sure to share!!
