i’m not the first and i know i won’t be the last to praise Skeeter Boat Center for their incredible service…and i’m going to do it again right now anyway.
when i bought my boat this past spring, Greg Kizewski told me they weren’t a “tail-light dealer” where everything was great right up until they saw your trailer lights pulling out of the parking lot. he said instead they were committed to providing long-term service. he proved this to be true in going way above-and-beyond my expectations in resolving the typical “shake-down cruise” issues on my new rig.
then it’s late summer and Dean Marshall takes over. i’m not a Pool 4 walleye guy, so i don’t know Dean by anything other than his reputation. i hoped that the change at SBC would be as good as all the posts on here were predicting, but i’ll admit that i was worried.
fast forward to this fall and i break a critical part on my motor, partially through my own actions and partially through a design issue. the team of Eric, Sean, and Chad at SBC absolutely bent over backwards to get information, communicate it to me, and get things fixed – to include pulling some strings with outside producers to get a few specialty things i needed for the repair. they even worked with me on pricing in a way that was exceptionally fair.
Dean was always straighforward, even acknowledging some things he didn’t know instead of making up an answer to sound good: “I’m working with them to figure out how this works.” i appreciate honesty instead of bullcrap, and that’s a damn rare trait!
they didn’t have to do the extra effort, but they did.
they could have gouged me, but they were fair.
this is how service should be done.
customer for life.
