What is the consensus on fuel additives with 4 strokes? I have a new Yamaha F150. Thanks!

Ringfree, Ringfree, Ringfree and more ringfree. I would never run a tank of gas through my yamaha without adding ringfree to it.

When it comes time to winterize it, make sure what gas you have left gets a treatment of yamaha’s fuel additive and conditioner.

    Thats my take on it

Star Tron enzyme fuel treatment. Hands down the best stuff on the market. I run it in everything!

Personally I haven’t tried the star stuff, bang for the buck if it does what it says it would be a great choice.

Myself I’ve pretty much resorted to Seafoam over ring free, 1 can per fill which is usually around 25 gallons or so, and I add 16 ounces of fuel treatment and cleaner that stabilizes the gas, unlike ringfree, which does seem to do a great job with carbon, but does nothing to stabilze gas, and at 1 ounce per 10 gallons, cost wise on a regular dose, ringfree is more cost effective at one ounce per gallon, but I feel like a little more bang for the buck with seafoam.

Anyway, I think eitherway you’re on the right track and do something, every tank.

I’m also a fan of fuel water filter seperators.

Nothing but non-oxygenated premium(no ethanol) and Seafoam in my Yamaha. No problems at all.

I quit using seafoam when I found out it has ethanol in it—since I have a merc–quickclean for me.
When I get a yami, ringfree for me.

    Polaris Carbon Clean! The best!

Polaris Carbon Clean is a complete fuel treatment and fuel system cleaner combination. It treats fuel for storage or for vehicles that see intermittent use and removes moisture from fuel. It is designed to address today’s modern Ethanol-blended fuels that tend to absorb moisture easier than non-blended fuels. Polaris Carbon Clean also cleans valves, sticky rings and carbon deposits. It contains dispersants that break down carbon molecules that build up on internal engine parts and allow them to be burned in the engine and expelled through the exhaust.

Used this in my early Mercury 4 stroke carb model with very small jets and subject to fuel issues! NEVER EVER had a problem after running this and many more customers I have given it to as a trial live by it also!

Been looking for ringfree. Does anyone know who sells it in Hudson?
