Are you sure you want shelving? I love that space under there to stretch my legs. A place for the dogs to hide. A place for all the Fiance’s crap. A place for my co-angler’s/buddies gear.
I agree. That is one of the features that I realy like about the 1850.
+2- One of my favorite features of the 1850 -my dogs too , esp during long bumpy runs, hot sun and rain.
I keep alot of my “go to” tackle / lures / plastics for the day in flat Plano boxes that I store in a collapsable SUV / truck organizer that I found at the state fair. search “6-Way Folding Trunk Organizer”.
Flat Plano boxes (3600’s, 3700s, 3770’s) placed vertically side by side, fit perfectly in it. I’ve got the rest of my gear in the bow storage areas, but what I start off with or think I’m going to use for the day goes under the driver console for easy access. Still have lots of foot / leg room. I considered a shelf as well initialy, but love the room without it.
A removable aluminum shelf placed high -up on the driver’s side (similar to a storage shelf the OP is requesting, just higher up) to keep cords / wiring safe from accidents is on the project list though. Any thoughts on how to do that anyone??? Thanks in advance.
