We have the pleasure of fishing with Dave Marquart a few times each season here on Rainy Lake. For those who have met Dave it is clearly evident why both Skeeter boats and the Skeeter Boat Center is so popular with many. Leadership is a lost art in business at so many levels, and your refreshing character is quite admirable. My wife Cheryl “Fishing Queen” has such a blast (AFTER fishing) when we relax at a local resort and just “Talk Turkey”!! Truly a pleasure Dave and my whole family enjoys your company. I have to admit it is truly a pleasure of mine to share the boat with fisherman who carry the passion for fishing like myself. On this trip Dave brought his brother John and Will to experience some Hot July Walleye action!! It was very nice meeting them both and look forward to our next trip.

We’ll see you this September Dave!! Those big walleyes and crappies don’t stand a chance.

I agree with you 100% Chris! Dave Markquart is passionate about everything he does – whether it’s fishing, selling Skeeter boats, selling vehicles or spending time with his family.

Hey Andy!! YES “WX” size waves on Saturday and again on Monday!! “Sho-Time” once again rocked the waves on Monday proving her weight in gold!! I’m not sure if anyone considers chiropractor saving when they consider their next boat, but I sure did. When we headed out around 8 a.m. I told the crew 15-20mph……. FORECASTED winds most always translates to 25-30mph on the lake. Because Rainy Lake on the US side runs East/West. A strong East or West winds churns up that Land of Sky blue waters something fierce. True to form around 10:30 “Mother Nature” showed that once again she was having a really bad hair day she wanted to pass on to dedicated fisherman. We carefully aligned the big WX2100 straight into the oncoming waves and saddled up!! While the few fisherman we did see we’re tucked behind islands likely fishing small scattered fish we sat on the big girls all by our lonesome scoffing at the wind, and at times spurring it on!! Literally Andy when we left around 2:30 we had absolutley a solid red band of fish on the 1198C at all times. If this unit was equipped with a “Big fish alarm” Border patrol would have been there to greet this sirens.

    Hey Chris,

Thanks for a great time fishing, again!! You just can’t beat the beauty of Rainy Lake and it’s obviously fun to catch those awesome fish, too!

Great to see you and Cheryl. Looking forward to the next trip!
