nose of 1880 to low to load

I have problems loading my 1880 on certain boat ramps. To much beer is not the problem. The nose goes under the roller. I have tried filling live wells ect. If it had a dual roller I think it would help. Anybody else have this problem?

Dont back the trailer in so far. Have the middle bunks just showing or roughly 4″ depending on landing. Come on slow get it stuck and then crank the rest.

You might be putting the trailer too far into the water. Next time this happens pull the trailer out of the water a couple feet and re-try. Make a mental note where the trailer fenders and bunks are in relation to the water level for next time you load.

On most ramps I leave the tops of the fenders just out of the water and my 1880 loads fine.

You are backing in too far. Back in so the center bunks are 1/2 in the water.

. That’s exactly how I load my 1850, works best for me.

Shallow ramps – fenders (dual axel) about an 1″ under. Steeper ramps- 1/2 out.

Ramp at Rainy Lake Houseboats (Very steep)- I’ll try again next spring.

It is the steep ramps that I can not get it on. I upgraded to the tandem trailer when I bought the boat. I am not sure if that is part of the problem. You would have to be Hulk Hogan to move the boat with the winch to pull it forward.

I have had the same issues with my Triton 198X. I had to replace a few Minnkota Terrova parts after one incident.

This item, http://www.tiedown.com/pdf/a321.pdf fixed all the problems.

I think it was about $100 plus shipping and a easy install.

To make the boat load onto the bunks better make sure to dunk all the bunks in the water to wet them and then pull the trailer out to the correct depth to load. The wet bunks makes loading much easier.
