My big problem with Skeeters!

For the most part, I keep my head pretty much buried in the sand on things that I dont know much about and quite frankly, I know nothing about Skeeters.

My problem lies with this website.

Up until joining, I had never even heard about Skeeters, let alone the WX series, or even the new MX series, but now for some reason, I cant stay away from this page.

I’ve got a serious problem brewing, and I need some help overcoming the urge to just go out and buy one, but with my daughters wedding coming up, I think Im just gonna have to wait.

In the meantime, can you guys keep posting pictures of your beauties! Ive got some serious boat envy going on.

    Thank you Skeeter…… someday.

Worse than that is fishing out of one and then going back to your old boat. I did that when James and I filmed a show a couple years back. I remember thinking to myself……..”My boat SUCKS!!” LOL!! Truly it didn’t of course, but after experiencing the finer things in life it is truly hard to be happy with that “REGULAR OLD CRACKER” You need to have the RITZ!!

Your time will come Reddog!! Good luck with the wedding!! My daughter is now 15 years old and thankfully I’m already in “Sho-Time” before lifes realities are subtracted out of our checkbook like WEDDINGS!!

Hey Ben…..”Sho-Time” might need a home if I continue to try stay in a new ride each year or 2. Don’t worry that big pike slime washes right off the snap in carpet!!

Yea Jeff, that helps, particularly the one with the lady drivin. That should help when/ if I show the wifey!

I really dont want to ride in one…. do I?

As I sit here at a home show, the pain only gets worse, knowing you guys and gals are out enjoying your boats.

Carry on, and Ill keep watchin from the sidelines….. for now.

Do not, I repeat. DO NOT ride, drive or fish out of one unless you are ready to buy or can deal with the feeling of NEEDING to buy one.

I’ve had mine for a week now (logged about 20 hours in the boat). Let me tell you, it was worth every penny. That’s a bold statement considering what we pay for these toys.

I’ll spare you the details of my experience the last few days.

I also knew nothing about skeeter boats until I went to the boat show in feb. And I orderd one. I tell you this I absolutely love my wx1850. It’s funny that you see nobody talking about there boats like us skeeter guys, and I think that says a ton for skeeter. After the wedding come join us my friend.

I’ve had mine for just over a year now. This is my 3rd boat and I think it took me 3 tries to get it just right. If I lost my boat tomorrow and had to buy another, I’d buy the same boat – no question about it.

If I did it correctly, here’s a pic of mine. Good luck with the wedding and hope to see you on the water soon.

    Skeeter Fever…. I like that!

Wade, I think you sought me out last year or the year before regarding Humminbirds.

I may need to lean on you for some info sometime next winter.

Again, thanks for the pictures and I agree, it appears that Skeeter owners sell many Skeeters with their endorsements.

    “Skeeter Fever”……..NICE!!

Each morning as I henpeck a bit on the computer answering emails or doing reports here on IDO I sip the morning coffee and peer down at “Sho-Time” at the dock. The other morning I had to go down to the dock early to see if she was still OK as it appears this Skeeter owner was slightly above the clouds!! Thankfully she was resting, but eager to go!!

A boat in the Skeeter line up simpy demands you be proud of your ride. I too TRY keep my ride as clean as possible. It gets wiped off each day and has a date with the Shop Vac a couple times per week. Thank goodness for a good rain every once in awhile to wash off that big pike slime!! I THINK it is time once again to start a Boat Pic post!! I’m on it!!

Happy to help Reddog. You know where to find me, unless I’m on the water.

I thought I’d resurrect this thread…. I feel lots better now.

I walked into the dealer this morning and said: “You know that buyers remorse feeling?” He got kind of a scared look on his face. Then I told him…. Theres been none of that.. Lifes good

Way to go reddog. Skeeters are the best. I looked at a ton of boats. No one has what I call a complete package. Every company has 1 or 2 little ideas that you wish your boat had. Skeeter for me comes as close to being perfect as possible. Question reddog. Do you get your name because you have a red dog?

I wish they had a snap in carpet option for the WX series like the MX. I fish from Dec to May, so my fishing is almost done for the year. During the time that I fish, there are no docks.. I have to land on mud, rocks, shale or whatever. I was going to get the MX with snap in for this reason.. but the wife overruled it and voted for the WX. (her vote counts 2, mine 1, and Im alright with that)

As to the reddog, back when I was first getting on the internet, I needed a name and this is what I came up with and it stuck.. No particular reason

WX 1900 has snap in carpet! The jump seats usually sells the family over the MX

Snap in Carpet is not an option for the WX 1850. Every other Wx and MX is standard equipment.

By the way.. Lookee what showed up today..
