My buddy is looking at the new WX2200. We were talking last night and he got to wondering about whether there is an option to get a windshield wiper for Skeeters. He fishes Lake Michigan and runs with a bimini top when the waves get a little bigger. He said a windshield wiper would be very helpful. Anyone know if you can do this on a new Skeeter? (and yes, I know he could ask the dealer)

cheaper fix would be to just put some RainX on the windshields…

Rain x needs speed (air moving past) to clear the window.
Wipers are worlds better than rain x on a boat.
When the boat windshield is getting splashed you don’t want to go fast enough for rain x to work.

If skeeter does have the room to house the motor I am not aware…BUT
You can add a power wiper but only on the bottom of the windshield. He would have to drill a hole and have the space in the foot well to mount the motor. You need to also know the sweep angle the motor is set at.
Its a fairly straight forward job IF your boat has the space to add the motor.
The down side is that the actual amount of glass it will clear is very small as the glass is a wrap around design and the tip of the blade will not contact the glass for most of the swing. This makes a small “port hole” that is actually wiped.

Ive thought about designing a 12volt cig lighter clamp on unit… thats as far as I’ve gotten on that idea.

could try a clamp on design…
