Skeeter Trailer Tongue Jack – Help

My trusted WX 1880 ride needs some serious help.

This boat has been great, but the trailer needs a better tongue jack? This jack is seriously undersized for this trailer and is about to break.

Is there a better solution out there for a heavier replacement that can just attach to the current frame mount, or do I need to start over? I am open to suggestions and willing to pay the price for a new jack.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Al

I’d get on the Fulton web site and compare the specs. You MAY be able to use the current mounting platform with a jack that is rated for more weight.

I have a 2006 WX1880 tandem trailer and changed out my tongue jack with just the next size up. Fulton has one that is a direct bolt on to the one you have. I think it is a 1500 lb. one . I think I got it at Hannay’s in mpls. Also, changed out the smaller winch on trailer too.

Fulton makes a bracket so you can put an F2 series jack right on your existing bracket. It works really well and is easy to install.

Thanks for all the feedback. I went on the Fulton website and the reviews were bad for the F2. How are the one’s working on the new Skeeter trailers?

I upgraded to the fulton f2 with 2 wheels and I can position the 1825 around by myself, the extra wheel seems to let it steer around easier. I made the adapter plate at work also.

I upgraded my 2013 Skeeter trailer to the Fulton F2 (single fat wheel) with adapter plate, it works great!

I did quite a bit of research on these and the xlt jack had much better reviews than the F2, so I went with the XLT. I have been happy with it. Rigid hitch sells most models so they should have what you will need. The one below should bolt right on your trailer. Truth be told I’m sure the F2 is a good jack too.
