There is an unworking link for it on the website. Is this really coming in 2018? Someone on the forum at the dealer meeting mentioned that they heard it was coming, but not to expect it in the next model year. But it appears it is! This will be a hot, hot selling boat as it fills a lot of needs in a single boat.

I’ve heard that! On a similar subject, I see the WX2000T tiller is no longer shown on Skeeter’s website. With the rumors of Yamaha FINALLY offering a power-steering system for higher-hp tillers, what hull?

Yes the WX2000T is no longer in production and still just rumblings of Yamaha coming out with something for bigger tillers.

Only if you buy it through your regional manager who told you in August that the 20’er wasn’t going to happen. Color changes only for 2018? whistling
All teasing aside, the 189 must have sold well enough them to move the 205 into production right away for this year’s boat season.

And the webpage is active now…looks nice!

175SHO is no longer offered. 150SHO is the way the boat is being engineered for and going forward.

    “Yamaha V MAX SHO® VF150 or F175”

    F175 isn’t a SHO. That’s where I was getting cornfused.
The VF150 SHO is more motor then I need…and very happy with it.

There is a VF175 and a VF150 both in 25″ shafts. The Solera will have the
    VF150 going forward.

are they going to lower the HP rating to 150? or only sell it with the VF150? the website currently lists the V6 F175 as a build option for ~$2500 more than the NAP with VF150.

it’s helpful to understand the reason for things when making $70k purchase decisions. the Yamaha performance bulletins are SUCH a great tool for this…BK, your 150 SHO performs just as well as the F175 V6 on the 189, with a lower purchase price and lower fuel use.

    Solera 189 with VF150 (SHO):
    – Max speed 47.2mph @6100rpm
    – Time to plane: 5.01 seconds
    – 0-30mph time: 7.04 seconds
    – Max efficiency: 3500rpms, 5.3mpg, 24.9mph

    Solera 189 with F175 (V6):
    – Max speed 47.4mph @5950rpm
    – Time to plane: 5.12 seconds
    – 0-30mph time: 7.02 seconds
    – Max efficiency: 3500rpms, 4.73mpg, 26mph

they don’t appear to have posted the performance bulletins online for the new Solera 205 (yet). considering the similarities in the hull and weight, i’d bet it’ll be pretty close to what the WX2060 does?

    Thanks Michael!
I’ve been looking for that Performance Bulletin for 2 weeks now. Never thought of looking on the Skeeter site! (I’ve scoured the Yamaha site)

Yes, I’ve very happy with my little 150 sho. It does everything I want it to and faster! And as you pointed out, less expensively!
