Skeeter In-Hull Transducer

I have a 2016 Skeeter wx2190 that came with Hummingbird Helix 10 mounted with In-hull factory transducer. Assume others may have similar package. I have had trouble with consistent readings since owning. When I turn graph on, it initially reads fine. Good picture and accurate depth. Two things happen. I either maintain bottom reading on graph (picture) but digital depth reading will read 1.9 ft or I lose both all together. Sometimes it will read fine for periods of time but usually will have above problems at some point. Shutting unit off and turning back on usually corrects for little bit, until it happens again. Wondering if transducer issue? I have 2 units and experience same thing with other unit. Any thoughts appreciated. Thank

I have a 2017 WX 2060 with the same issue. I have another transducer mounted to the back so it is not a real big deal for me. What is odd is I can see where someone had mine glued down in a different spot. I have never had much luck with glassed in transducers.

Our glassed in hull ducers have not been consistent for us either as a whole. We have just went to exterior mounted ducers.

Dean, is the exterior transducer covered under the Skeeter warranty?

None of the transducers are covered regardless of where mounted by skeeter, that would fall in the category of that mft , Hummingbird, lowrance, Garmin etc etc

on my mx2025 it is mounted directly in front of the motor, there is a removable hatch right in front of the motor and it is straight below that. (there are actually 2)

I went external. From a very reliable source in the sonar world-“glassed in ducers are like throwing a thick rug over your signal”. coffee
