I promised I would get some more intel on the Dry Dock system this is being added to some of the Deep V models. Here’s what I’ve heard back on that item from Justin Rowe – Skeeter Boat Center, Chip Falls.

The new Dry Dock feature is standard on MX-1825, MX-2040, WX-1910, WX-2060, WX-2190. I assume WX-2000T and WX-1850 but I can’t say for 100% certain. I didn’t get time to look closely at those models.

It is a very simple system. A blower pulls air in from under the drivers console and pushes the air into the compartments. The subfloor/ bilge area is open enough to allow airflow through bilge and compartments. Some compartments have vent grills but most do not as they aren’t needed.

Its purpose is to eliminate mold and mildew build up in the bilge area and dry compartments from humidity.

How it works: Plug in on-board charger. Turn Dry Dock switch on. Blower will run for 15 minutes then turn off automatically for a 30 minute period. It will continue to run like this until the switch is turned off.

Sounds like a handy new addition. waytogo

Here’s a shot of the vent intake under the driver’s console.

The second photo shows the Dry Dock switch, located to the left of the throttle.

That’s a great addition. I’ve actually been creating plans in my head to add this same type of system to my boat.

Good addition for sure. I run a fan in my boat when dry docked with a compartment open that allows air to flow under the floor. )

Must have if you ever put your boat away WET.

A PC fan, blade guard cover and a timer toggle switch is all that’s needed, although it will most likely require you cut a hole in fiberglass somewhere…

Not in my boat. I’ve got about 5 access ports to the bilge that would do just fine.

    I don’t have a skeeter btw.

Every time I plug mine in the dry dock gets turned on. At first I was skeptical if would make a difference but I’m sold on it now. We’ve noticed even with damp towels and life vest forgotten in the box it has eliminated that musty smell you would usually expect two days later when you remember them.
