SKEETER BOATS ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF THE WX 1910

New Model for 2015 sports a completely redesigned hull and innovative features including REACT™ keel, Rod Holster and Torque Transfer System

Kilgor, Texas. (Month Day, 2014) – The announcement of the WX 1910 represents welcome news to Skeeter loyalists across the country as this new model, rated for 200 horsepower with a length of 19’ 1”, is the first sub-20 foot boat in the acclaimed WX lineup to offer advanced features previously reserved for Skeeter Boat’s flagship models.

“We completely redesigned the larger boats in the WX lineup over the last couple years and our customers have been clamoring for the improvements effecting storage, handling and performance to be added to other models,” says Jeff Wooldridge, National Sales Manager at Skeeter Boats, Inc.

The addition of the REACT™ keel, the accentuated keel that runs from the bow rearward along the centerline of the hull, is at the top of the list when it comes to noteworthy improvements found on the WX 1910. This breakthrough in hull design redefines how models equipped with the REACT™ keel handle in wind, waves and current. “I think the most important thing the REACT™ keel does is it makes boat control easier in tough conditions. This allows an angler to spend more time focused on fishing, less time fighting with boat control, “says James Holst, Skeeter Boats Pro Staff Team member.

Rod storage in the WX 1910 received a significant upgrade as well with the incorporation of side-wall rod storage. This innovative rod storage solution, dubbed “the Rod Holster,” is built in to the port side gunnel and provides easy access and safe storage for one-piece rods up to 12 feet in length. Mike Keyes, host of Keyes Outdoors and acclaimed muskie angler, adds “I can fit 4 – 6 of my longest muskie rods in the Rod Holster.” When you combine the Rod Holster with the WX 1910’s center rod locker, which accommodate an additional 12 – 15 rods up to 8’ in length, the WX 1910 simply has no rivals.

Of course not all improvements to the WX 1910 are as readily visible on the surface. With the addition of the Torque Transfer System, the beefy stainless steel knee braces that tie the transom in to the hull stringers, transom strength and longevity have been significantly improved.

While it is first and foremost a serious fishing boat, when it’s time to play, the WX 1910 is right at home as a watersports boat with the addition of an available ski pole that is the perfect accessory for those that want to fish hard in the morning and play hard with friends and family during the midday heat.

And like all WX models, the WX 1910 is equipped with “jump seats” integrated into the rear deck that can be folded up to provide comfortable seating for passengers, and quickly folded down and out of the way to free up cockpit space. Standard equipment on the 2015 WX 1910 includes, Minn Kota Power Drive trolling motor, batteries, 3-bank battery charger, snap-in carpet, spare tire and a custom trailer with swing-tongue.

The only thing missing from the WX1910 is pedestal seat bases up on the rear casting platform. Based off the pictures, bases placed in the same location as where they are on the MX1825 would be awesome. Maybe it’s not possible to get bases in there.

Couple other features worth noting is the taller windshield and a storm guard that can be pleaced between lower part of windshield and rod locker. This will make those cooler days running around more comfortable. I am ready to get ours out this spring! We tpically carry 14 rods for 4 presentations on the river with 4 rods over 10′ so that rod holster is gonna be great! I wish I would of remembered to snap some pics of ours when we were in Ramsey so I could look at it everyday! Winter is good for only 2 things. Pitchin the river and slab fishing on Rainy! Come on Spring!

I’ve spent a bunch of time in the WX1850, 1900, and 1990 and this new 1910 is the best riding boat of the bunch. It honestly is the best riding 19′ boat I’ve ever been in. They really nailed the hull on this one. waytogo
