Was just wondering if anyone had tried the new YGK G-soul ss112 or spiderwire fluorobraid? It’s supposed to be more sensitive than other braids for the fact that it sinks and doesn’t blow around in the wind as much. Wanted to know if anyone tried it and thought of it before buying it myself as it is much steeper in price compared to others.

I haven’t tried those but I did try two “sinking braids.” One was Sufix Gravity and the other was Tuf-Line Hevi-core. I didn’t like the Hevi-core, it seemed to have poor shock absorption and snapped a little too easily for me. I’m using Sufix Gravity right now and its good – but honestly, I don’t notice much if any difference sinking-wise compared to regular 832 braid.

I read reviews on-line somewhere that was fairly critical of Spiderwire Florobraid from the standpoint of snapping a little too easily too. Hey try it out, as well as YGK and let us know what you think.

Suffix 832 Advanced Leadcore is the best sinking braid out there… jester
