Sinkers for live bait rigging

I have a question about what type of sinker to use for pulling creek chubs or red tails in the fall. Is there a preference over either an egg sinker or a walking sinker? Is there advantages to either? I’ve never done it and am planning on trying it out this fall. Thanks

Walking type sinkers are less likely to roll or get carried by current. They also are better when you want to drag your rig on the bottom and move it a little bit.

Depending on bottom (snags-wood-rock) if it is very snaggy I sometimes use a dropper line for the sinker. It also keeps your bait line out of zebra mussles. They cut line like crazy.

Thanks for the tip skeeter, I will be primarily doing it on gull, which is full of them
