Has silver hit bottom or will the price keep slipping down?

I’m by no means a expert but have been buying it since the start of the year. And I must say I have yet to pay under 17$ a ounce. There is a chance for it to go way down but even then the lowest its been in the last couple years has been 14to 15$ an ounce with it peaking at 48$ an once in 2010-2011. The place I buy my silver from said as long as its under 18$ an ounce I should buy. Anything above that wait.

When you invest in silver, do you buy and then wait for it to go up to say $25/$30 an ounce and then sell? Or is it more of investment that’s neat?

When I finally break down and buy precious metals it’ll be for preparation of the impending zombie apocalypse. There after humans will be bartering for shiny objects, food or sex and if I have to whip something out on the spot I’d prefer that to be a shiny object. D

For me its just a different long term investment. I bought some Gold and Silver when I had some extra money but not enough to make any difference. I hope I can buy more.

For me it’s an investment. It’ll go up someday I hope. I would probably sell if it hits 50 or more an ounce like it did in 2010

    eye hunter,
I’m in it for the long term. I buy Eagle proofs from the US mint as collectables. Then I buy rounds/bars for the silver content. I did buy one of these last week (because it is shiny). 100oz silver bullet. About 7lbs. and so is the dog. BTW its my wife’s dog, not mine. LOL

I was taught to look at the trends on a quarterly basis. It seems like silver dips in Q2, so I would suspect it will drop into the $14.xx then rebound some. But then I’m still licking my wounds from April of 2011. When it should have dropped, I ended up selling the majority of what I had at $41…Really, who would of thought that silver would nearly hit $50.00/ounce?? I sold a month too soon. Every day I thought it was going to collapse and the trigger finger was getting mighty itchy.
