I live on a corner and every kid in the neighborhood thinks my yard is a shortcut. I was thinking a motion activated sprinkler. Might work near a sign too.

I had a 6 dollar solar light stole from my yard last week. Times are tough out there I guess. Cameras being put up soon.

A internet sanctuary place for law enforcement surely. But I think you would agree out there in the wilds not so much, out there it is polarizing and political. Which leads people to steal signs etc.

Not a sign, but a few years ago I found a concrete Gnome at a yard sale, bought it and painted it up nice. We set it on our porch. Took two adult men to handle the thing. Someone heisted it one night while we were asleep. Had to have weight 150 pounds.

Many years ago we had a lower level apartment in a rural residential area. The bathroom ad a window and curtain that worked for the most part but on a couple occasions we swore we saw someone looking in the window late in the evening and actually heard neighbors saying they were seeing similar stuff and everyone thought it was a older fella. It got to where we thought he was peeking about every two or three nights so I took a length of 1″ black gas pipe, strapped to a stock fashioned from a 2X4 and tied it to a short ladder at window level….pointing out right where the curtains split. I actually opened them a bit. I had some cords running to the window trim too. It was there for one night. The next morning as I was going to the garage to go to work a sheriff’s deputy pulls in the drive and asks about a gun in the window….someone reported a gun in the window the night before. The only way to see anything in that window was to intentionally go into the fenced yard and look into it. So I walked him around and showed him where the “gun” was likely seen then into the house where I had the “gun”/ladder set in a spare bedroom. He took one look, laughed his a$$ off walking back to his car. Have a nice day and thank you, he said. They traced back the call and found their peeker. Whatever works, I guess, as long as its safe.

Your not in north branch are you? My mail man hit my mail box. Tried to stand it back up and then drove away. My doorbell camera captured it all

Yours actually works? Lucky… No matter what setting mine is at it captures the back of everyone’s head as they’re walking away yet will alert me to every mosquito fart.
I’m about ready to go Office Space on mine.

Ha no, Rochester. Mailman was delivering packages on a Sunday afternoon to the neighbor. He got out off the mail truck and delivered the packages to the door and obviously did not put the truck in park. The truck idled away, made a circle in the culdesac in front of my house and smashed into the front step of my house. Pushed the cement steps back into the house and caused a bunch of damage.

He ran after the truck and jumped in, backed it back on the road and took off! Luckily my neighbor was outside and saw it and got a picture of the truck in my lawn at least.

Needless to say that guy got fired

I would guess many here by the remarks do not believe in free speech, if I have to hide my views then there is NO free speech.

I don’t blame you for wanting to do something about someone stealing from you. But be carefully on what you decided to do. If I correctly remember many many years ago there was a group of kids that kept spray painting graffiti on a guy’s fence and would come back the night after he painted over it to do it again. So he decided to stay up and get the culprits with water balloons filled with fox pee. He got them and they sued him.

Coat the back of the sign in Vaseline and glitter. It will get on everything they touch and wont come off easy.

Let them sue at least they will be charged with there part too. Does not make sense to let someone ruin your property without a consequence.

I had a sign that said thanks to our local police get taken, it was screwed to my fence facing hwy 3 that is at the entrance of a culvers and a road into the neighborhood. The fence is beat up and whoever installed it long before i bought the house put it in so it faces the wrong way (6’ceader fence) so i got some blue paint and painted a 8′ blue line across 1 of the sections. 😂

    You painted your fence twice?

Lots of angry folks in the world today, my daughter (who is 6) was playing with window crayons and drew a big heart on our front window. She painted it rainbow colors because “rainbow is her favorite color.” I was in the front yard a couple days later and a guy driving by yelled “f#%k you gay mother…….”

Took me a few minutes to realize what he was even yelling about

    Well that’s just sickening.

I wish he would have stuck around so I could have told him “no thank you“

I think that would have made his head explode, ha

I love doing that to the people who rage over nothing. Killing with kindness and sarcasm has a very good feeling to it

Ha! I would actually appreciate it if you didn’t assume their pronouns

    P.S. I know that isn’t a pronoun

This stuff will do the trick. Had a buddy that bought some and two drops will clear out a room.

I grew up in an era when orchard farmers shot at kids with rock salt for stealing fruit. 😂

I think that went away with taking my shotgun to school after duck hunting in the morning.
