    About to start mounting a side imaging transducer for the first time. Any helpful hints?

    Use a transducer mounting board. Take you time and double check everything.

    I put a jack plate on my outboard to gain clearance for the mega si ducer. Nice clear picture of both sides without having to trim the motor up.
