They look like sulpher shelves but I haven’t seen enough to be positive on the ID . They could be a type of oyster mushroom too. I’m sort of ok on oyster mushroom ID if they are a cultured mushroom but again wild had me doubting myself.
We didn’t touch any of them. I know my morels and pheasant backs, but after that, I know nothing. In one section of my land where my wife and I normally pick 300-400 in a couple of hours, we found a total of 15 after 3.5 hours of searching. The area has been very dry this year and that could be having an adverse effect on the shroomin’. I have three other photos of these my wife shot that I’ll try to upload.
They really look like golden oysters from those pics. They should have decurrant gills which run down the stem. And if they are, I hear they are DELICIOUS.
This video explains some more. If they in fact are golden oysters, I’d pick them all and dehydrate!!
