    I just would like to know which kind of mushroom this is?

    Oyster Mushroom. Cut off at the stump, separate the petals and rinse off. Slice. Fry in butter until them no longer make water while cooking.

    You have to look at the underside to be sure but it looks like it. They are wonderful.

    Yumm, alas everything I’ve found around here has been either old or old and rotten/soft. Too much wet weather. frown

    Mike, look at the underside of one of the petals. If it has gills that radiate around the stem and they are not pink, you’re good. If it looks like a sponge, pass on it.

    The oysters I grow are identical to what you are showing. I have both white and grey varieties and both are excellent eaters.
