Shower Blow??

Each year, my family members buy me some kind of new or gag lure for Father’s Day. I also have an adult son with a habit of doing “shower blows” when he visits us. You know, put your finger on one nostril and blow the snot out of the other one when you’re showering. Drives my wife nuts when he does it but that’s the part I enjoy. Of course I don’t encourage that behavior when he’s here haha ;)

Well, this year the family got me a new “Shower Blows” Topwater lure thinking the joke was on me. So I got a chance to toss it the other day at sunrise and – well it didn’t clear my sinuses, but it did catch the snot out of them!

I’ve never used the shower blow when fishing but I do give the dogs a “fartball” every once and a while. smirk

Where I’m from in Wisconsin that’s just called a snot rocket and they are far from confined to the shower.

A shower blow sounds like something different altogether to me jester

My brother did this regularly in the shower too growing up. Down right disgusting.

The Shower Blows 105 became my go-to topwater about 4 years ago. Casts like a bullet, walks, and spits. I haven’t gotten many fish on it this year. Topwater has been off, and I’ve been playing with a River2Sea Bubble Walker 128 instead.

I plan to pick up the 105 next… good complement to the 125 which can be a lunar splashdown when casting.

I agree overall, topwater has been off this year a bit. Water temps getting high that quickly probably affected it. Best surface action I had was further up North where water temps were 5 degrees lower than around the metro. And froggin’ anywhere has sucked so far for me.
