We tried the Milwaukee Harbor ice fishing thing about 5 years ago. Never ever again. It was an all around nightmare in every aspect.

Thought we were supposed to reduce lead in fishing gear?

That guy should never be allowed to own a gun ever again.

    Wow!
Hope I don’t encounter anything like this. Sad state of affairs. Always two sides to every story but the fella talking with the news crew seemed genuine.
Perhaps body cams will be the next, common fishing/ice fishing, accessory.

Pretty simple. Understand and acknowledge that there are trash humans all over, and that a bunch of them are armed. Act accordingly. It’s obvious who the victim in this situation is, but that guy is also an idiot for confronting the other guy. Etiquette is 100% subjective and things don’t go well when one human takes it upon himself to attempt to enforce or even educate another on their version of “right.” That’s too bad, but that’s our reality. Anyone who refuses to accept that will be more likely to find themselves in a similar situation.

This answers a previous IDO post about fishing distance etiquette.
    10 yards is too close.

If this would have NOT listed the location of the event….Racine would’ve still probably been one of my top guess. I’ve been there probably 15 times in my life, and that was about 15 too many.

I grew up there and was out on south pier when the first load of rock was dumped during the ceremony to create the new marina. Ironically the absolute best places to icefish are nowhere near the spot where this happened at.

A couple of a-holes for sure. After their 1st response I would of just packed up and moved. This day and age he was lucky he didn’t get shot. Sad.
