What’s everyone got on their feet while working? So many different jobs between us all, and some that don’t have to work anymore. Be interesting to see what y’all are rockin for kicks!

I’m a roofer and by no means do my shoes get cut much slack….🤷‍♂️ Always blowing out laces too!

Normally a pair of Eccos… since shattering my ankle, only Skechers are comfortable now.

I’ve bounced around. I was loyal to Red Wings for a long time, but my last 2 pairs have went to hell in a hurry. A pair of 2406’s made it 3 months at the lumberyard and on job sites. They may have just been a dud, but I took the credit and moved on.

A contractor who had a similar experience swears by Timberland Boondocks. I’m about 2 months into a pair with no regrets so far.

During the Non summer months at my other job, my work shoes consists of Clarks dress shoes/boots. They’re comfy and reasonably priced.

I’ve been a redwing guy for about 15 years. 2406 Steel Toes work well for me in the metal shop. I’ve got 4 years on my current pair & I wear them literally everywhere. I went in years ago & had my foot “professionally” measured & got the boot that fits my feet the best & have zero regrets. Love em’!

Bucky, I’ve read before that there may be Chinese made redwings vs American made. I can’t verify for sure, but I’ve heard the same thing about some pairs only lasting a few months for some people. I order them from a redwing store in Duluth & ship them right to my house.

2406s are the same as my 2408s but just a ankle boot. Made in USA. Mine last 6 months but that is in concrete wash out everyday and my leather dry rots. Hard to think they would only last 3 months in normal conditions. Unless they were 2nds. But every thing has a fluke. As long as they returned the money I’d still be happy.

I’ve been wearing red wings forever. And yes there are Chinese cheaper red wings and USA made red wings that are made with U.S leather. I usually get a year and a half out of a pair.

BC, Correct. 04’s are a little shorter (4″ tall vs 6″ tall). But yeah, concrete is tough on boots. Mine get covered in coolant & oils. Preserves the leather a bit better. My soles are getting some holes in them finally after 4 years but they don’t leak. Time to order another pair. At $340 to my door, its nice when they last for a few years.

I work as a nurse in corrections at the local county jail. I have tried about every brand of shoe you can imagine. A typical shoe last about six months. I put on about 20,000 thousand steps a day. My go to is New Balance or Asics higher end shoes.

A wear a mix of Keen steal toes when working in plants and Columbia’s and flipflops when working on the water. Just depends on the agenda for any given day.

Prior to retirement my summer time work shoes were either hip boots or chest waders.

Usually Danner’s in the winter time.
