Found this one last fall while deer hunting, found it in a tree of all places! To me it looks like a coon drug it up there for safe keeping.

More than likely one of those tree rats drug it up there…too lazy to get his out of the tree each time he got hungry for calcium

I try to remember to look in the trees a little bit but it is very easy to keep my eyes on the ground.

Thats not something you see everyday I thought the deer used tunnels… Now I know that they use the trees to hide from me

Wow! I hope that doesn’t happen often. You could have opened a new chapter in shed hunting.

By the way, what are you doing hunting coon during the day?!?

Very interesting. Maybe it was hunter that left his rattling horns in the tree? Looks like a good tree to hang a stand?

That’s awesome steve, very cool find. I agree that it was probably a squirrel that drug it up there…..had to be a pretty determined squirrel though. Looks like a pretty good shed

Possible but I do not think so, I had to use tree pegs to get high enough to get at the shed and there were no signs of old peg holes or signs of old platforms in the tree.
