I suppose I’ll hijack the idea of having some kind of journal that follows my shed hunting progress throughout the year. I went out the other day for the first time and found one small 4 point lying underneath the pines as well as one dead 8 that looked to have been caught in some fencing. All in all not a bad few hours, just need some snow melt before I venture back into the cold.

    Good eye Gobb!

Sadly, I found a dead 8-pt last year also. It is unfortunate in many aspects but they’re still fun to find!

Always sucks to find them dead, my buddy found an 8 pt that scored 162 dead last week, 14 inch G2’s!

Leaving the woods w/a full packpack is happiness. Congrats!

Glad you decided to “hijack” the idea…it’s alot of fun to look at how one’s season progresses, and it can help in future years to check dates of when the sheds really start pouring in. Congrats on the good start and best of luck with the rest of your season Looking forward to the updates

Went out before the last snowfall hit on Wednesday and found this set Not much for mass but good tine length for what looks to be a young 10. I’ll have a pic of the set together here in a sec. as some of my pics are not showing up on my computer, also my dad took his dog for a walk this same day and found a nice 4 point laying in the yard and fresh as could be with blood still on it. I’ll post pics of this one here in a bit as well.

As you can see the rodents really hit the one shed that tines were sticking straight up but the other was tines down Also forgot to mention this set was just about on top of each other

Great finds! I wish they would all land tines down, I’ve seen the same thing before Chewed or not, nice set
