100 days!!!!

Let the countdown beging….. I’m heading out Mid Jan this year. They always seem to fall early where I’m at!

I hear you, Walleye! Sometimes I wonder if I’m bowhunting or just scouting bucks for shed season.

Anyone know what the odds are of finding a pair ?

the 3rd and fourth shed i ever found was a set pretty nice one to.

Ha, I feel the same way RR. I see bucks and think,, gee, I hope he makes it so I can look for his sheds.

I don’t know what the odds are but I think it would be easy to run a survey of the guys here that have sheds. That would be interesting!

Number of Matched sets divided by the number of sheds. If we could collect enough data I think you could get a pretty close % chance number.

I say less than 5 % in the woods. I would say this is probably higher on the prairie though

You guys make me feel better…..I sometimes wonder if I’m the only one in my stand watching bucks, and thinking about their sheds laying tines up in the snow Still lots of shed “scouting” to do yet though

If I had to guess I would say that I find somewhere around 10-15 percent matched pairs.

45 Ish….

Found my first shed of the season the other day Was deciding on where to hang a stand for muzzy season and sure enough a last years six inch spike was laying next to a freak of an oak tree. Guessed this was Gods way of saying this was the tree to utilize As I was deciphering whether or not a fixed position stand and or a ladder would be appropriate for the location I had a nice 130-140 inch 10 come walking in maybe 50 yards out
