My buddy Paul from ND has been busy Shed Hunting this Spring trying to find them all before the Flood claimed them.
Well here is some of his sheds from this Spring so far. Last Sunday, he found a shed from a buck we call High tower (not pictured). High Tower is a tall, not very wide, heavy horned buck. His shed came out almost 63 inches with 17″ in mass. We originally thought he was a low 130″ buck, but it appears he might have been a low 140’s instead. He disappeared during the rut last year and we did not encounter him last year in the stand. He showed back up late season.
The buck he found was underneathe the snow. He actually thought he had just found a shed. When he reached down to pick it up, he about tore his shoulder off. Only then did he realize there was a whole other half of a shed under the snow and they were attached to a head.
C’mon September!
