My father and 7 of his buddies go to the Boundry Waters each winter for a week of winter camping. He called me on his way home last week and said he found a moose shed..They hiked back about 7.8 miles to get to a trout lake they camp at…He said the snow was about 2.5 to 3ft deep and tough goin..well about half way in to camp he was 5th in line..they take turns being lead as its tough bustin through the snow.. he saw about 4 inches of the antler stickin through the snow and after everyone else passed it up he stopped to look at it…it turned out to be a shed..He thought about leavin it as the extra 5 lbs or so makes a difference hikin in the snow… the shed made it home and its in great shape and I was supprised how dark it was still..pretty neat find for him…Jay
