Shatek help needed

Have a friend with VERY little fishing experience going to shatek in early June. I cannot go, she will rent a boat and take her 2 kidoes out-I think they should probably do a slow death rig with a half crawler and a split shot maybe 3′ up. What speed do you think would be good? Can you keep a slow speed with a gas motor? What else would be good? Would they be better with shad raps? Good news that lake looks like it is packed w/walters.
    Thanks

Throw some firetiger flickers behind the boat and go nuts.

    Murray yep.
tom: they need a simple formula, would it be: #5 FS 100′ back 2mph?

Yeah that will work. I’d give it a good cast behind the boat and pull around at 1.6-2mph. Stay in under 10′ of water at that time yet.

    Yup, crankbaits #5 or #7
    Jointed Rapala
    Flicker Shad
    Rapala Shad Rap

    2-4 MPH.

That mud pit will be warm in early june.
I grew up within 10 minutes of Shetek.

And I about 45 minutes away. Very familiar with those lakes
