    Simple question…

Can a person using their underwater camera, turn on the light once it gets dark enough under the ice to where it is used to help see their bait…? Or, as I read Mn DNR law, is it illegal to use “any light” at all, for any purpose…?

dont qoute me on this but i believe the light on an underwater camera is legal.

BUT….i’ve seen it happen…a group we where fishing with, the one couple had the camera with the light and they caught alot less fish then the rest of the group!!!!!

It’s likely an infrared light, so it probably can’t even be seen aside from a few types of fish.

Anyways my luck with being able to see anything with underwater cameras at night is about 1%. You have a better chance at just seeing the junk floating in the water directly in front of the lense.
