Great to see him have a great finish in LaCrosse and make the cut to fish the AOY tournament on Mille Lacs! He should really be one to watch.

I was hoping he could pull a 16lb+ bag the last day after seeing what everyone else was catching.

Crazy watching it all unfold with the fan base he had following him.

It was a fun few days of watching it all unfold. To be honest I thought he would catch 15-16 Lbs. the last day and get the win. Dropping from 100,000 to 25,000 due to just over 1 Lb. must sting a little. If not for that 6.1 gift from the fish gods he would have won by a lb. or more. At least he made the cut to get to Mille Lacs – Hope he can have a monster event there.

Seths a good guy. And it was sad to see Gerald swindle tell ott Defoe where to go catch some fish on the final day and tell him exactly what bait to throw. When I seen that on bassmaster live on Sunday I was pissed. I know they share spots and info when they room with each other but to roll up to a buddy on the final day of a tourney and tell him where to go catch some keepers Is bullshit. Find your own fish ott. You can thank Gerald for that win. Without that info you had a second place buddy.

Ya, that did suck a little – I believe he did cull those 2 fish he caught off that spot later. But given where his head was at with 0 fish in the livewell at near 10:00 on championship day – who knows what may have happened without that help.

I totally agree with swindle Defoe thing. That kind of stuff should against the rules. I know in the NWT that would be a big no no and both anglers probably would’ve been booted. But it isn’t in bass masters so it is what it is. Pretty awesome to watch Feider do great and jump all those spots to be eligible for Mille lacs!! I hope he does real well and gets himself some more sponsors to make it a career

As I understand it Ott caught near 17lbs in 30 or so minutes off that spot. The rule needs to change.

The rule needs to change just like the no cull rule in mn
But if it was Meagan what swindle did than I guess it is what it is

He had 12-1 for the day, did he cull his big fish by mistake?

From what I heard AOY tournament it isn’t a regular paying tournament. The $100,000 goes to the one with the highest point total of the year not the three day weight winner. You guys might think G man did wrong but after the first day he should be able to cash the winning check. Feider has a chance of getting a ticket to the Classic if he can repeat with a good finish at Mille Lacs.

Its $100K to first place in the AOY and then $900K is split between the remaining 49 anglers, so everyone gets a check.

As for the G-man soliciting information….. its legal. As long as its another BASS competitor its ok, they just cant take any info from anyone else. The way I see it friends help each other out when needed, it’s a small part of the game they play.

And yes they CAN cull for the tournament, as the MN DNR made a rule that allows culling in specific (Bassmaster Only) tournaments that went into effect last year, that’s why they are finally coming to Mille Lacs.

I also picked Feider for my fantasy fishing team, it made a huge difference and I am in 1219th place now as he was only taken by 1% or less!! out of 38k people I think. not too shabby.

Sorry my bad must have read it wrong or read a typo. But either way IF he caught 11lvs in 30 unites on someone else fish to win, that is wrong and the rule needs to change. No offense to Ott or Swindle.

He caught two fish there. Both were culled on the WI side where he caught fish all week…
