I too follow the laws, there’s no argument to have. I just disagree with them having an ounce of merit. I would guess, most of the drain plug pullers in pool 4 here – are MN residents, that put in at a WI launch, so they pull it because they are going back across. I do & just did.

Maybe that’s because his pontoon is a Ranger Reata Pontoon?

I thinking Jon was poking fun of an old post where someone said ranger boat owners never clean off the weeds on their boats.

Have you ever tried hitting the gas with the transom full of water? I can tell when I have my live well full just by how my boat take off. This might not be the same with nicer rigs.

Ummm, yes. If that’s how you determine whether or not there is water in your boat you probably don’t even care.

I honestly don’t care either but I do care to obey the law so I don’t get fine and I’m just pointing out a glaring flaw in someone’s thought process.

The other side of it is that the county parks department leaves the busiest and nicest launch in the county looking like this…

About a dozen trailers parked still at 9 tonight when we got off. No spray station. I sprayed off when I got home but I can guarantee many that used the launch did not. I know we had some nasty weather lately, but it’s time for someone from the parks department to come put a shovel to use for more than just leaning on!

waytogo Agreed, you should always pull the plug and follow the law.
