Seriously DNR?

So I purchased my required wheelhouse tag – it comes printed on the same plastic paper hunting licenses are on. Can’t the DNR spring for a sticker?

It literally says to affix on the outside of my shelter using:
    1) wire through the u notches in liscense and tie to shelter or
    2) a nail or screw

Use clear packaging tape and tape to the inside of your window. I believe there was a thread about this a few days or weeks ago if you do a little more looking around IDO.

This was discussed earlier and was proven that it only needs to be readily visible from the outside. It does not need to be outside.

I saw a few different posts discussing the new regs and people talking about stickers – I figured the tags were the same type as the boat/atv tags.

I didn’t catch that the DNR was saying we should tie, nail, or screw pieces of paper to perm houses.

Leave it to the DNR. I usually buy the 3 year lic. Tape it to the inside of the window. Big problem is the printer ink can’t even last one winter in the sun. Usually unreadable by the end of the season. I believe that’s their problem.

Here is the regulations. You need the sticker and 2” ID numbers/letters on the exterior of fish house. With the # on your door (exterior) they can check to see if your license is current with that information.

I don’t care what it says. I’ll continue to let common sense rule. I’ll continue to place it inside my window on the door side like it always has- and hasn’t been an problem. This is a non issue. I do hate the material it’s printed on though. My boat stickers don’t usually last a year either. Rubbing on grass while parked on shore camping will take the number off in one night and the sun bleaches them out over time.

Yea I get it – I have even commented that I put my DNR# inside the window too. It was just a bit weird to see those instructions on the tag. If they had not been there I would have assumed that it was supposed to be a sticker but the place I bought it screwed up. It is funny to me that they actually printed that out on the tag.

I am pretty sure that a DNR agent won’t give you crap about plainly visible info through a window unless you give him reason to.

If this is on your table, plainly visible through the window… you’ll have given him plenty good reason. lol

My license I affixed to my window last fall in my spear shack is now 100% faded and un-readable. I have 2 more years to get out of it…
