Hi I’m thinking about heading to Rainy the first week of September next year. Have the opportunity to stay at a house near Sha Sha. Is there decent fishing in that area at that time or am I looking at long runs? Also looking for a recommendation on a guide for a day.
    Thank you!

Contact Billy with Rainy Lake Houseboats. Himself and his team of guides are the best of the best! Never had a bad experience with them.

If your on BookFace look up Chris Granrud & Rainy Daze Guide Service. He’s good at responding to messages and very helpful.

I go there the first week of October. We have found some decent fishing on that half of the lake (we only fish the MN side), but for the most part we head toward the Brule Narrows every day and fish there or east on the reefs. We stay at the Thunderbird and do have few places we hit on the way out and way back each day though. We mostly target walleyes

If you are staying by sha sha then dont over look black bay. Trolling crank baits around islands.
