Suspected a spool about a month ago, but had rod tip issues so passed it off. But 2 other spools later, from different stores and times I’m having the same issue.

Snag up, pull back snap off, typical river fishing. Thing is when I retie and I pull tight it snaps. I might have to cut off 10′ line before I find a section that holds a good knot. Absolutely maddening. Had flouro do this to me years ago and acts the same, line streches and stays stretched and loses its strength.

Anyone else experience this? Knots are solid, no damaged eyelets, this is a line issue. Sucks big time bc sensation has been my go to line.

Another spool, same issue, not as bad but still annoying.

I had issues like that a few years back when floor came onto the scene. I changed brands until I found one that worked with my knots and fishing style. I ended up with seaguar red or yellow. P line 100% floro is nice too. It just sucks to spend $20 on a spool. I still have to strip off ten feet every couple months.

Heck I strip off 10′ every other break off it seems. Not sure what I’m gonna do, luckily have the off season to think about it. Sent an email to Berkeley but not expecting anything enlightening coming from that.

I have been using 8lb Solar sensation on open water for at least 8 years with awesome success. I have experienced a couple breaks, but never really found it to be an issue with quality, just worn out line. Keep us updated on what they say.

a few years back I had the same exact problem with 832 in ten pound test.
I had bought three spools of it and all three did the same thing.
the line also turned white after only a few hours of use,the dye simply washed out of it.
called them and they took care of it for me,it may be better now than it was but at twenty three bucks a spool I wont chance it.

I’ve used 6 and 4 lb Sensation without any issues, but haven’t put new line on lately so will have to watch for that.

Used to have very similar problems with Vanish and stopped using that some time ago.
