Selling a boat trailer in MN, what do I need to sign on the title?

I’ve never sold a trailer before and just checking as the info I’ve found online is just about transferring car titles, not trailer titles. On the back of my MN trailer title there’s a section for: Seller Name, Seller Signature & Sale Price, is that all I need to fill out as the seller? I can avoid every other section right?

I believe their is a spot for buyers info and signatures to.

Do make sure the title gets transferred into buyer’s name. With lifetime licensing their is very little motivation for the buyer to do that. Found this out the hard way with parking tickets showing up in my mail on a trailer I had sold a year prior. It did not matter that everything was filled in properly on the title. Since it had not been transferred tickets where mine.

appreciate the response, I have to put the responsibility to transfer it properly on the buyer, but they seem like good people.

An extra step…you could snap a pic, with your phone, of the paperwork. That way you have proof of the sale, for your records.
My dad got parking tickets for a car he traded at a dealership, when it was abandoned on an interstate.
A used car dealer I traded with actually made copies one time and advised me to keep them just in case. Have done this with private sales ever since.

Good idea on the picture, I did put on the Bill of Sale that the buyer agrees to transfer the title at a MN DMV location within 14 days of the transaction. I made 2 copies so we’ll both have one with signatures.
