I have those doors on my Ranger and love them! Take 1 off or both. Leave them on and put a little fan on your window and you have a full 4 season machine!

Yeah I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t want the option of having doors that go on and off in seconds.

I took them off my wheeler just prior to the dam thing burning.
Sad deal and long story. I also have a really nice hyd. Boss v-plow that I had just taken off that I will be selling. Everthing but the controls which of course went up in smoke too.

Glad I jumped off when I did!!

It’s kind of a polaris thing. They mastered that trick years ago.

Sorry for your loss. Does not look fun

They had a problem years ago of blowing belts and the belt blowing through the plastic belt housing and ripping the fuel line off. Not sure if that’s what happened or not but I think they fixed that issue years ago

I bought Seizmik doors for my Defender. Nice product. I assume the mounts and latch pin are okay.
New gaskets and glue are going to be $50 or more so price might be a little high.
S in L has a Ranger these fit. I’ll see if he is interested.

I lot a lot of good info guys, thanks.

Bladepuller – i forgot about the mounts and latch pins. I’ll take them off the wreck. I don’t recall a gasket. They fit tight without one.

The story. I ran down to the local gas station and filled the Ranger, a 5 gallon jug of diesel and 2 – 5 gallon jugs of gas and left for home. Almost home I look back over my right shoulder and see flames already around the diesel jug. Well with 15 gallons of flammable liquid in the box, I jumped off. The sxs stopped and I debated throwing the jugs out and better judgement kicked in, the wheeler started to roll and I stayed the hell away from it! It was engulfed in fire by now and rolled towards my shed, veared away and then stopped. Then the .22 shells I had in the cubby started going off. There were huge balls of fire and black smoke.
Not a dam thing I could do but call for the FD and watch it burn.

I thought a can spilled, ran through the box onto the muffler and started it. After more investigation, I think coletrain had the right idea. This was a 2014 ranger. I don’t think the belt broke as I was still under power. I do think the gas line ruptured somehow and spraying gas on the muffler. Flames rolled up through the box and started the diesel and gas on fire.

Looking back there were so many things that could have happened and didn’t.
I made it off without gettin my azz burnt and nobody got hurt.
    That’s really all that matters.

Now I have doors and a plow for sale…

I am super glad you are good and alive.

But as a guy who has torn through a few belts I am very confused on how you wouldn’t know if you blew a belt under power or not. It isn’t a thing that happens lightly. You know when it happens.

And you don’t have to answer that. I am just making a obvious statement

Jim – yes, they are still 4 sale. I have the mounts and latch pin too but need to be painted. Well, they wouldn’t have to be.

I have a really nice plow too that I haven’t listed yet. Just in case you can’t resist. It’s top of the line.

Bearcat – I was not confused if I blew a belt or not.

I stated. “I don’t think the belt broke as I was still under power”.
By under power I meant the clutch was still engaged and I was power train driven.

But I have had one tear up on a different machine but strands wrapped around the pulleys and I was able still move for a short distance.
