saw 3 wolves this past saturday while deer hunting, my brother saw 2 and my dad saw 1. Hunting in zone 183 in Nemadji forest, seems like a pretty healthy population this year. maybe next year we can get a season on them.

I seen 2 while hunting in Glen, and we had tracks in pine city in the back woods of public land.
Hunted near Malmo this year and saw no wolves. Had pictures of them last winter, but no pictures since the cameras were put out in September.
my nephew took a short video of one opening morning frolicking around 60 yards in front of his stand. we are in itasca county about 15 miles from talmoon.
my brother also had a bobcat staring contest opening morning also.

You dont see people mention Talmoon much. I have lots of great memories of that area. I like that bar.
No wolves yet , but they and other predators are decimating the deer herd in northern Wisconsin not to mention several snowy winters and a maturing forest.

Same along the Canadian border in Mn. I did see 2 and heard many more which has been typical for years. The deer numbers are terribly low up there. I thought I read somewhere that it is like ~20% below what the DNR has for management goals. Tough deal.
Saw my first wolf in the Paul Bunyan State Forest just north of Nevis this year.
I didnt see any wolves but lots of wolf scat. Saw zero deer the whole time we hunted.
Saw 1 wolf in 159 during bow season.
On Facebook groups, I’ve seen trail cam pics of wolves (and I agree, they are wolves, not coyotes) as far south as 12 miles NE of Forest Lake.
It would be nice to get a wolf season, but that will have little to no impact on the overall population unless there is a trapping season with limits of 3-5 animals or more per season. Which isn’t going to happen.

I have some nice cell video of 5 of them about 20yds from my stand (they walked on both sides of me, one had a collar). They followed my trail in from the wheeler, noses to the ground. While I was watching them, I heard another bunch (maybe 5 more) howling to them. this was about 4:30, I decided it was time to leave before dark. Cotton MN area.

This is absolutely the truth.

One step at a time now. The first, arguably most important step is removing them from the Endangered Species List and transferring management to the states. I think there is a real possibility of a lottery-drawn, quota-based hunting and trapping season next year.
Seen and heard a bunch up on my land up by the BWCA. Seen some massive tracks from a biggin almost twice the size of my hand too.

Used to hunt Nemadji and we saw a few, it’s got a lot of wolves in it.

it was a riot trying to play pool or foosball at hayslips, that floor, or dance floor was one of a kind, not to mention all the finlander tools hanging from the walls behind the bar.
