Looks like I’m headed to South Dakoka to try my luck at archery antelope again. Same dates as last year (Sept 5-10.) I learned a lot last year and feel a bit more prepared now. Last year I stopped at the first herd I saw near Wall. This year the plan is to get close to the WY or MT border in hopes of seeing more than just one small herd. Might even shoot down to Wyoming or Colorado on the way out and do a little scouting for elk in Hope’s of getting a tag next year. No matter what happens, just seeing the scenery out there makes the trip more than worthwhile.
