Anyone have any experience and can comment, good or bad, on them? The smooth moves type pedestals are out if the question cost wise but I wouldn’t mind adding something to smooth the ride some.

I’d gain some height in the seat but if anything that may help as currently when I have my pedestal ar the lowest setting I have to scrunch down a little so I’m not staring right at the top of the windshield (usually only bottom out the pedestal in crap weather when I want to hide behind the windshield anyway).

What pedestal is in there now?

If it is a 9″ base you might be able to swap it out for an adjustable air ride for $35 more than that adapter.

I got four years out of the last pair of these. Just put in another pair.

That looks promising. On yours if you have it in the lowest ‘level’ so you still have any air ride to it? My seat has an old air ride type pedestal but its weak when up and when I lower it all the way down I loose all bounce in it. Passenger one is just a fixed post currently.

It is solid when all the way down.
When they go bad, you know it. They just fall all the way down.

I struggled to find the right one. My boat uses the short ones that are offset 2.75″ into the floor to make them shorter. Nobody carried them or if they ordered them, they were expensive locally.

I was happy as punch to find them just over $100.

I put a suspension seat in my boat, same as the first gen smoothe moves with a different sticker, tractor supply has them for around $90.

    Care to provide a link?

Nah. I wouldn’t worry about that. At first, I wondered about that too, or if the amount of use they get affects them but I don’t think that is it either.

I have a pair, driver and front passenger. Both times they both blew within a week of each other. I do a lot of fishing alone so the passenger seat sees half of the use, yet it still blew first, about a week before the driver’s seat.

I don’t think use was the factor.

That’s the one. Took that seat off and used my seat. I have had 2 in my boat for around 10 years now and no corrosion yet.

Good to know! I’ll have to remember that if I ever decide I need one
