I’ll be the first to admit that I never thought we’d be fortunate enough to see a second season of broadcast let alone be talking about completing a tenth season like we did Monday afternoon when we pulled the boat off the water after a fantastic day of fishing on Chequamegon Bay. Mike Anselmo and I spent the day chasing smallmouth on what is one of the better bass fisheries in the Midwest. Right now water temps are in the low-60’s and the fish will eat just about anything thrown their way! We had a good run in the AM on paddletails and jerkbaits and the fish switched over to a Marabou Jig bite midday that produced big fish on almost every cast for a couple hours. We weren’t blessed with any real giants but the number of 3.5 – 4.5 lb fish caught made for a lot of fun and a great way to close out our broadcast season.
To everyone that watches, thanks for tuning in each week! We’ll be back for season #11 in November. Maybe we’ll be fortunate enough to see ANOTHER 10 years spent chasing bites all over the Midwest and Canada!
