You have a fan cooled sled so the only benefit of scratchers would be to keep your hyfax cool which may be cooled sufficiently merely by the carbides scratching the ice. However adding a set of scratchers wouldnt hurt. Ski Doo makes some good ones that folks with other brands actually buy to put on their sleds.

if you have reverse on your sled make sure you get a pair that are reverseable

Get the cable kind. They can go forward and backwards. I just leave them down for the whole season. No issues.

We ride our mountain sleds on the ice and have not had good performance on slick ice in ID. With cable scratchers. I don’t even use them on packed snow trails in CO anymore. They don’t kick up the ice/ snow as well. jME. I have gone to dawn dish soap mix for hyrax and even use auger to get ice chips for cooling/hyfax I always have a hard choice take the sleds or atvs. When we go to ID. Sleds rough for slick ice atvs terrible in slush and deep snow.

I HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE DAWN DISH SOAP, DO YOU PUT THAT ON AT THE BEGINING OF THE DAY? DO YOU HAVE TO KEEP PUTTING IT ON THROUGHOUT THE DAY?

Duro- flex scratchers. They are cable and you can run down all the time forward and reverse.
