So I bought a Benjamin Marauder PCP in 22 caliber and now I’m trying to find a decent scope for it. I don’t think we’ll be shooting much beyond 50 yards with it and a typical shot would be in the 20-30 yard range. I’m thinking about two possible scopes. These are:
Vortex Crossfire II Rimfire
2-7x x 32 mm
Eye Relief: 3.3″
Parallax Setting: 50 yards fixed
11.5″ long, 13.9 oz.
Max Elevation: 60 MOA
Athlon Neos Rimfire
3-9x x 40 mm
Eye Relief: 2.99 – 3.07 inches
Parallax Setting: 100 yards fixed
12.4″ long, 17 oz.
Max Elevation: 80 MOA
Will I need medium or tall rings with these scopes?
The both basically cost the same from Optics Planet at about $129. Any input about which would be a better scope? I like the lifetime warranty that the comes with the Vortex. I’m not sure about the warranty on the Athlon. Would one of these be a good scope or are they overkill for a Benjamin Marauder PCP air rifle.
Thanks,
Boone
