My son had been bugging me to take him fishing so we got the rain gear on and hit the Ville on Sunday morning. We ran up to the Big Creek slide and had a ball. We fished from about 9:30 to 1:00. Caught about 60 crappies. Most on the small side but we did manage 6-8 nice keepers. We were casting jigs out in the deeper water. When it was overcast, chartruese was the color that they wanted. As soon as the sun came out the darker colors worked much better. Electric blue, purple, and black all worked well. I get such a kick watching my son catch fish, it really get’s him going.
