Anyone know how far north one needs to go to find viable walking ice? I’m in the twin cities and would like to open air quarantine for the day tomorrow.

I’m 2hrs from the twin cities and I’m driving 1/2ton and 7,000lb house on the ice… so to walk on I’d say not to far.

I was on the ice around Cambridge on Wednesday. Saw one other person out and they rode out on a atv.

Lake by Buffalo was good for walking yesterday-try to find a access on the south side and be careful.

    Thanks for the update!

My mom and her husband live on the lake, ever need an update shoot me PM.

I’ll hopefully be heading out there with kids this week one more time. Put the ice stuff away but may dig it back out.

Fishing last weekend was a bust but the ice was fine (12 inches) around St cloud. Anyone got updates on viable ice?

A lot of the Alexandria area is still good. We had light rain most of the night tonight but shouldn’t have hurt it to much.

Didn’t end up getting out last weekend, so wondering if I missed my shot. Anyone know of anything viable north of the twin cities?

I made it out tonight, the bite was good.

2 days ago I went swimming. shock
I was checking the shore and went thru. 3 fow. got my phone wet and the FW wasn’t happy.

The last 2 nights got down into single digits.

Tonight I had the inflatable on, I spud barred out to my spot and stopped to drill exploritory holes. Ice was a pretty good 8″ once out from the shore.
I saw some guys out on a atv today.

Crappie cakes tomorrow and possibly might try again if weather holds.

Did you have to replace it?

Sold mybusiness on 03/27. Was at the shop with the new owner all day for transition training that day. Came home at end of day. FW says “Give me your coat. I’m going to wash it right away.” Kill the virus!! Well 3 minutes later light bulb goes off. Bingo! Phone in inside pocket of coat. 3 minutes in the washing machine is too long.

Since I need a new phone, FW needs new one also. $700 later I’m logging on to IDO! Yippee!
