Sandhill Cranes

    We live across the road from a rookery. Cranes, geese, ducks, are as much a part of the daily symphony as is the farmer across the valley when he’s spreading. It’s sad when you move to the country then need to make more like the city. All this is in kind jest.

    My FIL had them in his yard, he made a sweet fence line with twine and strung some cheap pie tins every so many feet of twine and added some shiny party streamer stuff. Looks crazy but I guess it works.

    I’ve been here 25 years, a full 24 years longer then even the first Sandhill Crane. If either of us is leaving I can promise it won’t be me. wink

    I surly wouldn’t give him the chance to talk with your wife suggesting that. I don’t want to be an accomplice to murder!
