Going to be down there next week for a conference. Not sure I’ll have time to do the Alamo, but anything that’s a must see/eat/drink? The Riverwalk area sounds cool.

A lot of nice bars on the Riverwalk when I was there 8 years ago.

Spent a few days there when wife had a conference so lots of time to explore. Agree on Riverwalk being pretty cool. We luckily were there when they had a flotilla parade with floats through the canal decorated to the hilt at night. They really get into it. It was definitely fun to see.

    Definitely check out the Riverwalk.
Check the hours of the Alamo. We went after work and it was already closed for the day. Still cool to see it walking around the outside though.

Be sure to check out the basement in the Alamo.

They have hop on hop off bus tours that stop at all the missions and other historical sites.

It’s a hump to get across town, but every time I’m there I try to go see music at Floores Country Store. I go early and eat tamales and have a cold Lone Star. It’s a great venue.

Sam’s Burger Joint has some killer music too.

The Riverwalk has become more commercial over the years with chain restaurants replacing the locals

Boudro’s Texas Bristo is phenomenal. Start with table side quac. Reservations recommend.

Biga on the Bank. A bit more eclectic but food is excellent. Can be pricey. Reservations needed.

You must of been there in April.
