Alex and I boated the same muskie 2 times in 3 months. August we had high water conditions and November we had very low water. This fish moved a ways from where we 1st boated it to where we encountered it again. Catch and release at it’s finest….

I’ve done that with bass a few different times and pike as well. We actually caught one bass 4 times in one summer. All at different locations on the lake. I see you both have your favorite fidhing hats. Those are the same in both pictures

I would say so, it has that dark dot below the fin in the same spot.

What was the length on that fish ?

I wondered that too. I also wondered how much (if anything measurable) it had grown since the first catch.

I was more curious on the length. I’d kind of doubt much if any measurement difference in 3 months – But who knows. I just like to guess the length and see how close I am. I’ve gotten real good on bigger walleyes lately. My buddy cant believe how close I am most of the time on walleyes. Been rather good on BIG pike in Canada the last few years as well.

Nice fish Bob. No doubt about Alex growing. He has to be bigger than you now. You better behave or he may not let you use your boat anymore. -) Hope you are doing well.

Yes, the boy is all grown up and much bigger than me…which doesn’t take much.

The fish bumped a little over 49 and there was no difference in length the 2nd time, which I wouldn’t expect to see in 3 months. Girth certainly changed from post spawn to fall time though.

    We only own 2 hats:)

As a man who wears the same hat each time out, I approve of this post. Very cool.
