Rush River Flood!

    The Rush could be getting a make over as we speak, they got 4 inches of rain yesterday…bridges were underwater, with MAJOR flooding….I wonder what this will do to the river?

    I’m guessing it will rise.

    I shouldn’t make fun. A fire fighter told me they were evacuating Spring Valley.

    Actually the total was over 7″ in many localized areas. We had 5″ in Menomonie, but 3.5″ came in a single hour.

    I spent some time yesterday in Pierce County, as I have a couple highway projects under construction. A box culvert is being replaced just north of El Paso on CTH N. It’s normally a dry run that feeds the Rush…over 10′ of water came thru Tuesday night. If someone’s looking for some plywood, there’s some sheets floating probably somewhere south of Winona by now…

    Lots of damage, which is going to take a while to recover.
